The Value Village People is a project of Bleek Swinney, now, with partner in crime Luke Meat. Bleek is a visual and sound artist, former editor of Speck Fanzine, part-curator of 24 Hours of Radio Art, host of Exquisite Corpse and Luke hosts ANoiZE on CiTR, Vancouver.
The VVP use sound-recycling (hence “Value Village” ), elements of camp (hence “Village People”) and attempts to reveal the (un)fortunate complexities of this information through appropriation, cut-ups, murky noise and recontextualization.
